General Coordinator / Sister Umm Fadel
This sister will call committee meetings, coordinate activities between
subcommittees as well as with the Masjid Executive committee, she will
assist committee members in meeting group obligations and help individual
sisters find assistance as necessary.
Education Coordinator / Sister Rania (Umm Abdul-Rahman)
This sister is responsible for the newsletter, the Ramadan memorization
exercises and the Q&A competition, as well as special educational activities
for women such as films, lectures and conferences. She also manages the
sisters monthly halaqah gatherings.
Social Coordinator / Umm Tarek (Omeya)
This sister is responsible for organizing the food schedule for potlucks and
picnics for women activities as well as for Masjid activities. She will
coordinate the Ramadan potluck and Eid party activities. Other activities
may include tea parities, outreach and craft workshops. She will also
collect information about new Muslims, births and marriages for the
newsletter and the egroup. This sister works closely with the Communications
Coordinator.
Arabic Speaking Halaqah Coordinator / Umm Ossama
This sister will coordinator and organize the halaqah for the Arabic
speaking sisters.
Youth Coordinator Sister Rajaa (Umm Nader)
This sister will give weekly halaqah for the teen girls ages 14 up. She
helps coordinate activities for the two Eids as well as the annual Youth
Conference. Other activities include community service projects and the
girls Saturday Youth Group Program. UmmFadl (Sister Amna is Assistant
coordinator for this age group)
Pre-Teen Coordinator / Sister Susan
This sister gives weekly halaqah for girls ages 11-13. She prepares
activities for Ramadan and the two Eids. Other activities could include
craft workshops and community services projects
Children Coordinator / Sister Heba
This sister organizes regular activities for children 9-10 years-old. She
coordinates baby sitting for major Masjid events, Ramadan activities for
this age group and other simple day trips Insha'Allah.
Children Coordinator/ Sister Shayla
This sister organizes regular activities for children 7-9 years old. She
coordinates baby sitting for Masjid events,Ramadan activities for this age
group etc.
Sister's Activities
Saturday Halaqas (English Language)
All English speaking women and sisters are encouraged to attend and join
this Halaqa. Whether you seek to share knowledge or seek knowledge, this is
the Halaqa for you. Come study all components of Islam, from the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh and countless other areas. Learn the importance of being a
Muslima as a mother, wife, daughter and community member by joining this
group of knowledge seekers. The locations of the Halaqa rotate on a weekly

Friday Night Halaqas (English Language) All women welcome. It is all in
English. Every Friday night after Maghrib in Sisters prayer area. For more

Friday Night Halaqas (Arabic Language)
This is an ideal opportunity class for all Arabic speaking Muslim women who
are interested in learning about their roles, duties and rights in the
Muslim household/community. We will cover, inshaAllah, all of the
fundamentals of Fiqh for Muslim women. This is an excellent opportunity for
sisters to ask lots of questions and delve into how to identify, address and
resolve many issues that affect today's Muslima as per the Quran and Sunnah.
This class will be especially valuable to those who have basic Islamic
knowledge as the coursework can be challenging, yet very rewarding. The
Halaqas are held in the Sisters Prayer Area at Masjid Annur after Maghrib
